One of the places in Europe that’s definitely on my to do list in at some point is France. It’s full of wonderful history, culture, and sights that should not be missed. Here is everything you need to do when visiting France in Europe for the first time.

You should spend at least a day in the capital of Paris
One thing you need to do when in France is to spend a day in the capital of Paris. It’s one of the most famous cities in the world, and millions of people travel there every year. It’s home to one of the most iconic landmarks of all time, the Eiffel Tower. It’s also home to Notre Dame and the Louvre which are both a must-see if you are visiting the area. It’s a great place to soak up the atmosphere, and you will love all the food places you can visit and grab a bite.

You should make sure you visit the French Riviera (also known as Cote d'Azur)
Another thing you need to do when you are traveling to France is visit the French Riviera, which is also known as the Cote D’Azur. The area is known to have some of the best beaches in Europe including beach resorts such as Saint-Tropez and Cannes. Cannes is also famous for the annual film festival which occurs here every year. You can also visit the city of Marseille while you are staying in the French Riviera. It has great history and markets for you to explore. You need to visit Normandy to learn more about the history
You should also visit Normandy in France if you love learning about history. The area of Normandy was used as a battleground back in the Viking Raids and the D-Day landings. You should also stop by the Mont St-Michel, which is a stunning monument. You can find out more about its history on this site. It’s definitely worth checking out if you are a big fan of history.

You need to visit Lille for the flea markets  
Another thing you need to do when you are visiting France in Europe is to check out the flea markets. If you love finding little trinkets, then you will find some unique items at the flea markets. Lille has one of the biggest flea markets which has over three million visitors every year. Grande Braderie has been around for centuries, and you will find so many unique items here.

You also need to visit the Chamonix Valley if you want to see some amazing sights and have some skiing opportunities. It’s ideal for outdoor sports and is a beautiful area that shouldn’t be missed. Remember to learn some of the basics of the language before you go traveling. And don’t forget to get some euros before you head to France for the first time.
