Tools for the Perfect Shaving Kit

Shaving requires a proper set of tools in order to get the best and most comfortable shave possible when you shave your face. Because the skin on the face is especially sensitive, shaving can cause a lot of irritation and discomfort if you do not have the products necessary to moisturize and protect your skin from the irritations of shaving. If you shave with a razor alone, then you may find that your facial skin is highly uncomfortable; you may suffer from razor burn, abrasions, and dehydration. In order to avoid these kinds of negative side effects, you need the right tools. Here are some tools you need for the perfect shaving kit.
Tools to Prepare

First, you are going to need the right products for the pre-shave process. In the pre-shave step of shaving, you will need pre-shave oil or lotion. These products help protect your skin from the irritation that comes with shaving; these products are very important in prepping your skin for the shave to come. After you apply pre-shave oil or lotion to the shaving area, you will then need shaving cream or soap to lather the area. Cream or soap paired with a good shaving brush can moisturize the shaving area. These pre-shave products that help you prepare your skin for shaving can help you get a much closer shave with less irritation, which means that you won’t have to shave as often—a great plus in addition to the reduction of skin irritation.
Tools for the Shave and Aftershave

After using your pre-shaving products, it is time for the actual shaving. For this step, you will obviously need a razor, but not just any old razor. In order to get a close shave without negative side effects for your skin, you need a razor with high-quality blades. The better your razor, the better your skin will look and feel. After you have finished shaving, you can use an aftershave balm, gel, or lotion in order to moisturize your skin. Moisturizing is very important in avoiding irritation to the skin. These products can also help soothe your skin so it feels more comfortable after you shave. With all of these tools in hand, you have the shaving kit you need for a perfect shave.

My poor son was complaining to me about how he keeps cutting himself shaving. He's only 15 and I have no shaving experience! I shave hardly ever, I seem to have zero body hair!

I usually get the electric razors for the guys in my family. I know nothing about shaving and would prefer if they just pick out the one they want and I get it. :)

My husband appreciates the high quality blades for his razor just like I do for shaving my legs. They are so expensive these days. Thanks for the info here! Men always love shaving gifts!
