My Mendrez Wedding Shoes: 8 Years After

Mendrez Shoes

I bought this shoes back in Philippines when I got married. It took a month for me to looked for my wedding shoes. This is not white, it is beige or ivory in color. That time, it was P1,500, the heels were so high but I was still able to managed to walked in the aisle without tripping. LOL- Thanks GOD for that! :)

I brought my wedding shoes with me when I had to travel and moved in with my husband for good. I kept it in its original box, then, I remembered it. I checked and this is what I saw, chip, ruined and ugly shoes! :( I took a photo as a remembrance before disposing this in the garbage.

Oh they look in so bad condition! I wish I could see them when they were in their real condition. Do you have a picture of them when they were in perfect condition?

They just deteriorated like that over time? That's so sad! I can tell they were once beautiful shoes, though! :(

I wonder if there would have been some way to preserve them and make some sort of decoration out of them? I have seen shoes used as like knick knacks.

oh so sorry your shoes got ruined. But it is the wedding day and memories that will last.

I had white flip flops to wear on my wedding as you wouldn't see them. I ended up walking bear foot instead.

I wonder if there isn't some way you can preserve shoes. Have you seen the shoes they use as decorations and knick knacks...

That is odd that they got in that condition without being worn, just by being packed away in the box!

After 8 years that tends to happen. At least you got some good memories from them.

Awww it's too bad they couldn't last forever! I have some wedding stuff that I know is not going to keep so I'm thinking of selling it now so someone else can use it and I can get some cash!

How sad that they didn't hold up even though they weren't being used! At least you have your happy memories from your wedding day, and hopefully many pictures.

They didn't hold up very well, did they. I bet you rocked them on the day of your wedding.

it is sad that no matter how much you preserve and protect something things mess up..

I bet they were beautiful at one time

I got married three years ago and have never worn these shoes again, but I still have them and when I recently moved, I found them deep in a box, still looking the same as 3 years ago. Not that I ever need them again, but I understand that you are sad that you had to throw them away, there is so much memory in them

Aww! I am sorry that your shoes were ruined, but glad you managed to not trip during your wedding 8 years ago! :)

Awww, but I imagine you look stunning with those shoes in your wedding mommy :) I left my shoes in Philippines. I still saw it when I came back there last January. My sister has been using it and taking care of it. And guess what the brand of my sandals, it's also Mendrez :)

Aww I'm sorry they're ruined. But that's what time does to things, unfortunately. In my case it happens a lot quicker than it should xD I beat up everything I wear. My fav pair of pants for instance... I miss those.

Man, that really stinks that they look so deteriorated in just 8 years! I can't believe they did that!

Sorry they got ruined. But perhaps you can get them restored at a cobbler?

So sorry your shoes are damaged. My shoes were not even years old and they yellowed. I am not sure why, but I was crushed.
